License Required - $25 per person daily), Skaguay Reservoir,
Eleven Mile Reservoir and Spinney Mountain Reservoir
HIKING
There are several hiking trails starting in the campground,
trails may accommodate the beginner as well as the
experienced hiker.
MOUNTAIN BIKING
Take the opportunity to bike some of the trails close to the
campground or venture further by visiting Phantom Canyon
and Shelf Roads between Cripple reek and Canon City.
BIRD WATCHING
Several species of birds flock here year round including; Red
tailed Hawk, Northern Pygmy Owl, Great Horned Owl,
Hummingbird, Yellow Bellied Sapsucker and many more.
FOSSIL DIGGING
View and be apart of a fossil dig dating back more than 35
million years at The Florissant Fossil Quarry.
GOLD PANNING
Cripple Creek is the largest gold mining area in the nation.
You have the availability to gold pan the very stream that runs
right through our campground.

CRIPPLE CREEK CASINOS/GAMING
High stakes gaming has made its way into Cripple Creek,
Colorado, with some incredible changes along with it! Cripple
Creek’s recent introduction of high stakes and brand new
games has created an even more exciting and social
atmosphere, making it the ideal destination for day-trips with
friends and vacations alike!
CRIPPLE CREEK & VICTOR NARROW GAUGE RAILROAD
A steam locomotive that takes visitors on a winding four-mile
trip through the historic gold mining district. Trains leave the
historic depot daily from mid-May through mid-October, taking
visitors on a trip that includes stops at special points of interest
and photo opportunities. The track heads south from Cripple
Creek, crosses a reconstructed trestle and stops at a deserted
mining town before returning.
BUTTE THEATER
Since the town’s early days as a small mining camp, theater
has always been a part of the rich heritage of Cripple Creek.
Theaters and opera houses have come and gone over the
years, but one historical venue that began in the heyday of the
gold rush still features exciting and original live entertainment
to this day: the Butte Opera House.
MOLLIE KATHLEEN MINE
Located in Cripple Creek, the Mollie Kathleen Mine is one of
the oldest mines around. Take a ride down a mine shaft in a
turn of the century mine elevator and enjoy a narrated tour 1
mile below the earth.
CRIPPLE CREEK DISTRICT MUSEUM
the Cripple Creek District Museum complex contains three
buildings with six floors of mining memorabilia, maps, paintings,
glass and china, children's items, furnishings, an assay office,
a photograph gallery, Indian artifacts, mineral displays and two
Victorian apartments.

Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company and the Victor
Lowell Thomas Museum will be offering expanded gold mine
tours.
Starting June 1 gold mine tours at the museum will feature the
operations of Cripple Creek & Victor Gold Mining Company.
Tours will offer the chance to see giant haul trucks, shovels
and drill rigs in action in the large surface mine between Victor
and Cripple Creek. All proceeds go to the museum so this is a
way to take a great tour and support the museum.
